The G.E.M. (Gender Equity Movement) Youth is a youth-led, advocacy organization leading a movement to change the conversation around gender equity, and focuses on empowering the next generation of leaders. We have 2 main teams that we function on: our advocacy team primarily runs our socials and blog, advocating for both gender equity as a whole, as well as other trending socioeconomic issues, shedding light on topics scarcely talked about. Our fundraising & events team plans and hosts events to raise funds for various initiatives and causes including Girl Up, Dignity Matters, and even local women’s shelters.
